NYSP Explorers:
Pathways to Discovery

For nominees with a variety of interests, the NYSP Explorers: Pathways to Discovery strand offers students the full NYSP experience. Students participate in a portion of all three strands by serving as chief investigators, performing handwriting and blood drop analyses and suspect identification in the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Strand; as physicians, examining the digestive system and performing patient diagnosis in the Medicine Strand; and as architects, investigating post, arch and dome construction, floor plans and model museum construction in the Creative Construction Strand. After sampling each of the three strands, scholars create and deliver a presentation based on their favorite strand and investigate potential career opportunities that strand may offer in their future.
