Frequently Asked Questions

Future crime solvers and forensic detectives will form a team of sleuths in the CSI 1 and CSI 2 (Crime Scene Investigation): The Amazing Science of Detection strands. Students will apply science-based detective skills, use chemistry concepts to solve crimes, develop logical thinking strategies to unlock clues and even create some mysteries of their own. Students explore the important distinction between evidence and inference, connect facts to unravel clues, apply the skills of a forensic scientist to set up experiments and use observation and inquiry to tackle perplexing riddles.

(CSI 1 is offered to 2nd and 3rd graders only. CSI 2 is an advanced CSI strand available to 4th and 5th graders only.)
